We aim to connect with those who share this heritage while sparking curiosity and respect in those who don’t. Instead of taking a broad Afrocentric approach, we focus on the unique depth of Ndi Igbo na Ala Igbo, crafting a story that begins with authenticity and grows outward with meaning and purpose.
It started with a question: what does “Africa” really mean?
Africa is a vast continent with over 50 countries, thousands of cultures, languages, and countless untold stories. Yet, the term “African” often oversimplifies this incredible diversity, stripping away the individuality and depth of each unique cultural root.
Africa is not a monolith. Its cultures, traditions, and histories are as varied as its landscapes. At Zibura, we believe the best way to honour this richness is to start small and personal. By focusing on one culture, one story, and one narrative rooted in authenticity, we create something meaningful.
For us, that story begins with Igbo heritage – a culture rich in traditions, art, and design. It’s a story that speaks to those who share it and inspires curiosity and respect in those who don’t. Through our work, we aim to celebrate this heritage with intention.
